We kindly invite you to participate the CFA Day, which will take place on Thursday, November 16th, 2017, 9: 45-11: 15, in room 0.5 CEUE. We will tell you what CFA is and we will talk about the next edition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
The competition is an initiative designed to develop students' skills in analyzing and valuing companies, as well as the ability to present their results. As part of this competition, the team conducts a financial analysis of a company selected by CFA Society Poland. Each team participating in the challenge is supported by a mentor, a CFA holder. The report is evaluated by a group of financial professionals and is then presented to a panel of industry experts who select a team to represent the Poland in the European final. The winning team from Europe goes to the global finals.
Each university can be represented up to two teams of 3-5 participants. Teams must register for the competition until November 28th, 2017. Please contact dr hab. Katarzyna Perez, associate prof. of PUEB (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org) from the Department of Monetary Policy and Financial Markets, if you are interested.
The inaugural meeting will be held in the first half of December. In this year's edition of the competition, the local finals will take place on March 20th, 2018 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the European finals – on April 4th and 5th, 2018 in Dublin, and the world final – on April 20th, 2018 (place not yet determined).
