Dr hab. Ewa Mińska-Struzik, prof. nadzw. UEP, vice-dean of the Faculty of International Business and Economics (Department of International Economics) was appointed as a member of the management board of International Trade and Finance Association (IT&FA) for the term of 2018–2020. Our researcher was appointed as a member of the management board as a result of elections conducted among members of the organisation.

The IT&FA scientific society was established over a quarter of a century ago following the initiative of such recognised economists dealing with the international exchange problems as H.P. Gray, J.H. Dunning, D. Salvatore, T. Ozawa or R.E. Baldwin. The IT&FA has its headquarters in the USA but it associates scientists from all continents. They meet at annual conferences in order to present results of the latest research and discuss current events in the global economy.

Each conference is held in a different country of the world. Owing to almost two years of Professor Ewa Mińska-Struzik’s efforts, the organisation of the 27th Conference in 2017 was entrusted to Poznań University of Economics and Business. The event under the heading, Leading Issues in International Trade and Finance which was held at PUEB on 31 May-3 June 2017, was attended by scientists from many recognised academic centres and international organisations from various continents and countries, among others, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, China, India, Singapore, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand and the Republic of South Africa.
