The 4th Collegium Altum Tower Run took place at our University on October 28, 2018. More than 300 participants competed for the medals. To reach the highest finish line in Poznań, the runners had to climb over 17 floors (372 stairs). The winner was Mateusz Marunowski – his time was 1 minute and 20 seconds. Ilona Gradus was the best among the women – her result was 1 minute and 56 seconds. "Tower running is gaining popularity. It combines sprinting and hiking endurance. The victory depends on fractions of seconds," emphasises Przemysław Walewski, the Director of the Collegium Altum Tower Run. As part of the competition, the 4th Tower Run Polish Championship of Academic Teachers and the 4th Tower Run Polish Championship of Students were held. The best academic teacher during the competition was Marcin Flotyński; his time was 1:49. Baha Kalinowska-Sufinowicz was the fastest among the women – her result was 2:58. Michał Gil (1:37) and Zuzanna Kielak (2:07) were the best runners among male and female students respectively. 


Policemen and firemen also competed in the run. The 4th Collegium Altum Tower Race Police Championship, under the Honorary Patronage of the Voivodeship Police Commander in Poznań, and the 2nd Tower Run Wielkopolska Voivodship Championship for the Cup of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service were also organised during the run.
