On Wednesday, June 23, the awards ceremony was held in the 7th edition of the "National competition for the best bachelor's and master's thesis in the field of international economic relations", under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology. Bachelor's thesis written and defended at PUE by Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi entitled 'The Impact of Corporate Governance on Firm Performance: Evidence from Polish Non-Financial Listed Firms' was awarded the third prize.

Mrs Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi is a graduate of the 1st degree studies in the field of international economic relations, specializing in International Economic Realtions in Emerging Markets (IMEM). In her bachelor's thesis written under the supervision of dr hab. Konrad Sobański, prof. UEP presented the results of research on the impact of corporate governance on the financial results of public companies. The author analyzed this correlation for companies from the non-financed sector listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, using quantitative methods, including regression analysis (OLS models, with fixed and random effects). The results of the conducted research can be used by managers in the process of shaping corporate governance principles in their enterprises, as well as by entities selecting companies for the investment portfolio.
