Our PhD student is the winner of the FinTech competition

Our doctoral student – Marceli Hązła – took first place in the competition entitled “How FinTech solutions can positively influence the changing world”, organized by MoneyTransfers.com. In the article sent for the competition, the winner combined topics important for society: FinTech and sustainable development. The jury appreciated the model of integration of both these areas. The author of the winning paper analyzed the trends in the digitization of the Polish economy and proposed his own concept of sustainable FinTech. In it, he showed that it is possible for startups from the FinTech sector to fill in a gap by creating portfolios made of sustainable companies, similar to ETFs. Such a solution would allow consumers to allocate savings to “green” sectors.
