PUEB Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals are part of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and are increasingly integrated into the strategic actions of business, social organisations and institutions, including research institutions around the world.
The following have been designated as priority Sustainable Development Goals for Poznań University of Economics and Business:
- Goal 3: good health and well-being – to ensure a healthy life for people of all ages and to promote well-being
- Goal 4: quality education – to provide quality education for all and to promote lifelong learning
- Goal 5: gender equality – to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls
- Goal 8: decent work and economic growth – to promote stable, sustainable and inclusive economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all people
- Goal 9: industry, innovation and infrastructure – to build stable infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialisation and support innovation
- Goal 12: responsible consumption and production – to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Within the framework of the goals above, the following PUEB Sustainable Development Goals have been set:
- fostering the well-being and welfare of society (reference to UN SDG 3)
- ensuring quality education and promoting lifelong learning (reference to UN SDG 4)
- achieving gender equality and empowering women (reference to UN SDG 5)
- promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth, productive employment and decent work (reference to UN SDG 8)
- investing in infrastructure and implementing innovative solutions (reference to UN SDG 9)
- exploiting and promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns (reference to UN SDG 12).
