  • return borrowed books,

For those setting up an account, there is an option to use the Library’s self-enrollment form, which you can find in the online catalogue tab “Reader’s account” – click on the “No account? Sign up” button. Filling in the form will reduce the time it takes to complete the formalities at the Lending Library, but remember that this visit is necessary anyway (you will complete the registration and payment there).

Reader Card

The document confirming enrolment in the Lending Library is a Reader Card, which is one of the following:

  • the electronic student card (ELS) if the student was enrolled with this card,
  • a separate Reader Card – issued by the Lending Room if the enrolment was based on another ID card,
  • a reader’s card – issued by another library of a public university affiliated to the Poznań Research Libraries Foundation and activated by the Lending Room.

The Reader Card enables you to:

  • use the Lending Room,
  • access your Reader Account,
  • access to databases outside the PUEB – logging on to licensed electronic resources subscribed to by the PUEB Main Library from home computers.*

* this feature is available only to PUEB employees, PhD students and students (of all types of studies) enrolled in the Lending Room

and have a valid Reader Card in the current academic year

Reader Account

The Lending Library sets up an e-Reader Account for each person who has enrolled. This can be used from the time of enrolment until the end of the current academic year (31 October).

After the end of the academic year – if the user is still interested in the services of the Lending Room – they do not have to sign up again, they just need to extend (activate) the validity of their account.

You can check your account balance and its expiry date yourself on the Internet via the Library’s online catalogue.

Once in the catalogue, select the tab: Reader Account and log in by entering:

  • reader card number (8 digits located below or above the barcode),
  • your password (4 digits – the default password is 2 digits of the month and 2 digits of the day of your birth date, e.g. 1130).
