Photocopying

You are welcome to use the free scanning service for excerpts from books and journal articles in the PUEB Main Library’s collection.

Publications unavailable in the databases offered by the PUEB Main Library and not available for lending through the Lending Library are scanned on request.

How to use the facility?

  • you can order a scan if you are a PUEB student, PhD student or employee,
  • send your order to the following e-mail address: biblioteka.skany@ue.poznan.pl,
  • use the university mailbox: student.ue.poznan.pl, phd.ue.poznan.pl, ue.poznan.pl,
  • if you are a PUEB postgraduate student, in addition to your first name, surname and status, include the full name of your programme.

  • requests will be processed in order of arrival. Turnaround time depends on the number of requests. Each of your requests will be subject to verification of the requestor’s eligibility and online material availability queries.
  • you cannot order scans of the following:
    – entire books,
    – any materials published before 1950,
    – special collections (including theses and dissertations),
    – publications containing a clear disclaimer that does not allow you to copy all or part of them.
  • The Library has the right to refuse scans of materials in poor physical condition.

Submitted materials may be used within the framework of permitted personal use (Article 23 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights) and didactic use (Article 27 of the Act). The PUEB Main Library shall not be liable for any infringement of copyright made by the person placing the order. Using the scanning service implies consent to the processing of personal data (RODO data protection notice).

  • the device allows you to scan to a basket or save to a flash drive,
  • you can choose the file format (PDF, TIFF or JPG) and decide whether it should be a multi-page scan,
  • the scanner automatically aligns scanned pages for improved document legibility,
