The cost of renting varies greatly, if you want to rent a house or apartment in the city center, you can expect a price between 2,000 and 5,000 zloty per month, a little outside the city is cheaper, especially in the neighborhood.
Things to keep in mind before signing a rental agreement:
1) Rental agreement: you should mark the amount for rent plus additional costs (electricity bill, internet, TV, garbage, etc.). You need to be sure of them and know how to pay for them. Ask about house rules, regarding cleaning of public spaces such as public staircase or basement, and other rules, if applicable.
2) Rent payment date – a well-defined date, the same for each month;
3) Additional amenities – such as furniture, basement, parking space, bike space etc.
4) Deposit
5) Repairs from both parties of the contract – they should know how it works and who is responsible for what;
6) Pets – make sure you are allowed to have a pet;
7) Notice period – should be specified in the contract, in Poland it is usually 4 weeks.
