BSIS IMPACT international certificate for PUEB
On 13 April 2023, the Poznań University of Economics and Business was awarded the international Business School Impact System (BSIS IMPACT) certificate by EFMD Global. The certificate confirms that PUEB has a significant impact on the socio-economic environment and promotes social responsibility values in its immediate surroundings.
The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international non-profit association based in Brussels. It is the largest European association dedicated to the development of management quality in business schools, business sector, public services and consultancy. The EFMD brings together more than 977 business schools and institutions from around the world.
Our University, as the third in Poland and 63rd in the world, has been awarded the BSIS certificate. At the heart of BSIS is a framework of 120 indicators covering 7 dimensions, including financial, educational, economic, social, intellectual and image dimensions of impact. The financial impact value of our University was estimated at nearly €278.4 million, an excellent result.
The Poznań University of Economics and Business was described in the report following a visit by a team of experts as the strongest economic university in central Poland. The huge impact of PUEB on Wielkopolska region, its economic development and the University’s deep cooperation with companies operating in the region were highlighted. The University not only supports local business, but also influences it to become more and more international.
The strong position of the study programmes offered by the University, the Doctoral School programme and the Executive MBA programmes, was highlighted. PUEB educates work-ready students with multicultural skills that are recognised by future employers operating in a globalised world. The report also highlights the presence of PUEB alumni in most companies in Wielkopolska region – not only young employees, but also top managers. The influence of the PUEB Knowledge Transfer Company SPV on the development of entrepreneurship in the region was emphasised and the strong culture of cooperation between the university and business was highlighted.
Attention was also drawn to PUEB’s strong reputation as a research-intensive university, with more and more research results every year, which are published in better and better scientific journals in global circulation. PUEB is a highly effective partner, both in terms of conducting research and disseminating it.
