Marian Gorynia, rector of Poznań University of Business and Economics from 2008-2016, current president of the Polish Economic Society, author of more than 600 publications and scientific articles, received an honorary doctorate from the Wroclaw University of Economics. The ceremony took place on November 23, 2023. Our scientist, after the award ceremony, delivered a lecture on the role of multinational enterprises in economic processes entitled. “Multinational enterprises as drivers of efficiency and globalization – friends or foes?”.
– Professor Gorynia is an authority. He is one of the most recognizable, most respected scientists. He has tremendous stature in terms of scientific achievements. By conferring on Professor Marian Gorynia the title of honorary doctor of our university, we are accepting into the ranks of its patrons a personality we have missed and need. This is an honor for us and a source of great satisfaction,” said Prof. Andrzej Kaleta, rector of the Wroclaw University of Economics.
– Efficiency understood in an ad hoc, ad hoc, short-term, shallow and one-dimensional way is is becoming obsolete. […] The directions of repairing the real contribution of enterprises to social welfare on an international scale should go in the direction of adherence to the principle of the broadest possible social inclusion in the economic processes in host countries, and at the same time in the principles of conducting environmentally friendly activities, subordinated to the idea of global rationality,” stressed Prof. Gorynia in the lecture he gave at the ceremony.
