Using open internet sources in the analysis of cryptocurrency exchanges

The work of our scientists on the analysis of digital currency exchanges has been published on the Springer website. As part of the research, models for predicting the success and bankruptcy of cryptocurrency exchanges were developed, based on financial data and information collected from open Internet sources such as Wikipedia and Wikidata. The aim of the work was to identify key aspects that can support the risk analysis process and help in better selecting intermediaries on the digital asset market.

Understanding the factors influencing the success or bankruptcy of digital currency exchanges is crucial for investors and regulators in times of dynamic development of the cryptocurrency market. This allows for better risk management and making more informed decisions in the context of investing in innovative digital asset markets. Additionally, the use of open sources of knowledge such as Wikipedia and Wikidata as analysis tools emphasizes the growing role of publicly available data in financial and economic research.

The work entitled “Analysis of the Successful and Bankrupt Digital Currency Exchanges Based on Open Data” was published in the monograph “Emerging Challenges in Intelligent Management Information Systems”. Authors of the work: Dr. Piotr Stolarski and Dr. Włodzimierz Lewoniewski.
