Lectures for the Academy of Young Economist (AME) and the Children’s University of Economics (EUD) students
Since 2011, the Poznań University of Economics has been organising free-of-charge classes in entrepreneurship, basics of economics and business for students in grades 4, 5 and 6 of primary schools (the Children’s University of Economics) and students in grades 7 and 8 (the Academy of Young Economist). The aim of the classes within the AME and EUD programmes is to promote entrepreneurial attitudes and prepare for life in complex social, economic and business realities. Enrolment starts every semester.
A total of more than 240 primary school students are educated each semester under the guidance of academic lecturers and business practitioners. Each semester consists of six 1.5-hour meetings on economic and business topics. During the lectures, delivered by academics and business practitioners, young people will learn the basics of how the economy works and how to manage the business and economic phenomena that affect everyday life. Creating winning business strategies, taking care of the financial side of ventures, creating a marketing campaign on the Internet, launching a new product on the market, and leadership and negotiating skills – these skills will no longer be alien to students who wish to take advantage of the Poznań University of Economics and Business offer.
