Article by prof. Paweł Mikołajczak in the Journal of Business Research

The article by dr. hab. Paweł Mikołajczak, prof. PUEB, entitled „Determinants of precarious employment in social enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe” was published in the Journal of Business Research (140 points, journal IF is 7.55).

The publication addresses the problem of precarious employment in social enterprises in so-called emerging economies. Based on a case study of 200 Polish social enterprises, the author identifies factors influencing the size of underemployment, proving that it depends on the extent to which flexible forms of employment are used in the organization. The study stressed that policymakers should pay special attention to reducing bureaucratic obstacles and complex paperwork associated with the use of public funds in social enterprises.
