PUEB students take the 3rd place in CFA Ethics Challenge 2022
A team of PUEB students composed of: Marceli Hązła (team leader), Dawid Andrzejewski, Cyprian Greiveldinger and Rita Żuchowska took the 3rd place in the national Ethics Challenge 2022 competition organized by CFA Society Poland. The team’s academic mentor was dr hab. Katarzyna Perez, prof. PUEB, from the Department of Investment and Financial Markets.
The competition task was to analyze a case study on ESG, greenwashing and professional ethics, and to present the findings to a jury of authorities from the financial industry. Twenty teams took part in the competition.
The CFA Ethics Challenge is an initiative of the CFA Society Poland aimed to popularize ethics and ethical standards in the financial market among students. The initiative promotes a number of values and concepts, such as transparency, integrity, the importance of regulation and their enforcement, safeguarding the financial system, as well as it put emphasis on the importance of ethical consciousness upholding a healthy financial environment. In Poland, the CFA Ethics Challenge was inaugurated for the first time in 2018. In the first edition, two groups of students from PUEB took the 1st and the 3rd place.
