The visit of a delegation from Hanover to our dormitory for refugees from Ukraine
On May 9, the dormitory for refugees from Ukraine located in our sports hall at 9F Dożynkowa St. in Poznań was visited by Belit Onay, the Senior Mayor of Hanover, Thomas Hermann, the Mayor, Member of the Hanover Municipal Council, Chairman of the Commission for Integration, Europe and International Cooperation, Marie Bullet, Office for International Cooperation of the City of Hanover, as well as representatives of the Town Hall of Poznań (UMP): Grzegorz Ganowicz, Chairman of the Poznań City Council, Iwona Matuszczak- Szulc, Director of the Department of City Development and International Cooperation of the UMP, Agnieszka Syguła- Pinkowska, Department of City Development and International Cooperation of the UMP.
Hanover is a partner city of Poznań, which has donated in-kind aid for refugees from Ukraine, including bedding and towels used by refugees in our night shelter.
The guests acknowledged the involvement of the Poznań University of Economics and Business in helping Ukraine by appreciating the daily effort of running the night shelter, which houses 120 people.
