Can universities keep up with AI?

💡 Can universities keep up with AI?

Last week, our team members Doris Antczak and Marcin Gurtatowski had the opportunity to complete a study visit to Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) as part of the DIGIT_People and algorithms project funded by NAWA.

The visit focused on international cooperation in the areas of:
📌AI in higher education,
📌digital competencies development,
📌innovative teaching methods,
📌Marketing 5.0 and digital transformation.

During the visit, our team members participated in meetings and discussions with academic staff, workshops on AI applications in education, teaching observations, and exchanges of experiences on doctoral education and academic practices in the era of AI.

One particularly interesting experience during the visit was the opportunity to participate in a doctoral defense at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. It sparked valuable discussions on doctoral education, academic standards, and the growing role of AI in higher education and research.

🤝 International collaboration and knowledge exchange remain essential for understanding how people and algorithms will work together in the future of education and organizations.

A special thank you to Jesús Garcia-Madariaga for the warm welcome, hospitality, and the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas during the visit. 🫶

This visit was carried out within the project “People and Algorithms in Organisations: Competences to Work in the Digital Environment” (DIGIT_People and algorithms), funded by the NAWA – Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej.
