Dr hab. Milena Ratajczak-Mrozek, prof. PUEB participated in the panel discussion “Global Mobility & Visibility of Women in Academia”, which took place on 9 March during the Women in Business Education Conference at the Poznań University of Economics and Business.
During the panel, she emphasized that scholarly visibility develops primarily through building relationships – by regularly returning to the same conferences, actively engaging in the academic community, and developing research collaborations. She also pointed out that academic visibility should not be treated as a competition, but rather as a process strengthened by supporting, citing, and amplifying the work of other scholars, particularly other women.
She further highlighted that long-term mobility is not the only pathway to building international academic visibility. Well-planned short-term mobilities, such as week-long research visits or participation in conferences, can also lead to meaningful academic connections and lasting international collaboration.
