Dr. Marcin Soniewicki, together with researchers from Brno University of Technology (Assoc. Prof. Tomas Hanak and Dr. Michal Mikulik), published an article titled “Impact of the quality of technical specifications of the tender documentation on the construction projects’ success” in International Journal of Managing Projects in Business (Impact Factor: 2.3)
The study analyzes the impact of the quality of tender documentation on the success of construction projects. It focuses on three key factors: communication and change management, supervision of project documentation, and the quality of technical specifications. Data were collected from Czech construction industry professionals via an online survey. Structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for the analysis.
The findings indicate that effective communication and thorough documentation supervision positively influence project success in terms of cost, time, and quality. The quality of technical specifications plays an important mediating role. The results demonstrate that independent verification of project materials before contractor selection is a crucial factor.The study highlights the importance of high-quality documentation in the early phase of the investment process.
