Global alliance of PUEB with Silicon Valley. Signing of the agreement with POLSV in Palo Alto

Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB) consistently implements its strategy of internationalization and strengthening relationships with the world’s most innovative centers. On April 16, 2026, in Palo Alto, the authorities of our University signed a key agreement with The Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.

The agreement, signed by the Rector of PUEB, Prof. Barbara Jankowska, and the Center’s CEO, Prof. Piotr Moncarz, opens up new opportunities for our researchers and students. The event was also attended by the Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Dr. Łukasz Puślecki, Professor at PUEB, and the substantive discussions involved experts Hamid Farzaneh and Agata Braja.

The main objectives of the agreement are:

• Internationalization of research results: Promotion and publication of PUEB’s scientific achievements within the investment and industrial environment of Silicon Valley.
• Knowledge transfer: Organization of seminars, workshops, and training programs dedicated to academic and business communities in the United States.
• Joint projects: Implementation of advanced research initiatives in cooperation with American partners.

The signing of the agreement was part of a broader international mission of the PUEB authorities. The Rector and Vice-Rector visited Stanford University, where during a study visit they discussed potential areas of academic cooperation with Prof. Mike Lepech. The delegation’s program also included visits to the campuses of companies that define today’s technological world – Google and Microsoft.

A highlight of the strong ties with the American innovation community was the participation of PUEB representatives in the ceremonial premiere of the film “Esther Wojcicki – the Godmother of Silicon Valley”, which took place at the prestigious Presidio Theatre in San Francisco.

Cooperation with POLSV is another step in building the image of the Poznań University of Economics and Business as a modern, globally oriented university.
