Portable Induction loops in the Main Library
We’re happy to announce that the Library has purchased three mobile induction loops to make communication easier for people with hearing loss.
The devices are available at the user service station in the Lending Library and Reading Room. They are suitable for people with hearing aids or cochlear implants, including those with hearing loss who do not use hearing aids.
Induction loops help users hear sound clearly, without interference from background noise.
How does it work?
If your hearing aid supports induction loops, switch it from M mode to T mode.
If you do not use a hearing aid, you can use headphones connected to the device. The device works within a range of about 1 metre.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone can use the Library comfortably – borrowing books and getting information without barriers and without stress.
Feel free to use this new service!
