Presentation at EACL 2026
During the event, Ewelina Księżniak presented a paper entitled “Thesis Proposal: Comparing Human and Model Perception of Writing Style under Controlled Perturbations”, which was accepted to the Student Research Workshop (SRW) – a conference track dedicated to early-career researchers. The paper outlines a doctoral dissertation project focused on comparing how humans and language models recognize writing style. The research investigates the impact of controlled text modifications (so-called stylistic perturbations) on the ability of both humans and algorithms to identify style. The project combines computational approaches with user-based experiments in order to better understand the differences between human and model perception and their implications for areas such as authorship analysis, privacy protection, and linguistic creativity.
