The association, fostering a realistic approach to economic theory and policy, organizes annual conferences, seminars, and summer schools. Since 2020, EAEPE has been publishing The Review of Evolutionary Political Economy (REPE) in collaboration with the Springer group and sponsors the Journal of Institutional Economics, published by Cambridge University Press.
