Wrapping up DIGIT, looking to the future
The conference “People and Algorithms: What It Takes to Make AI Work in Organizations?” on 23–24 June, marked the (almost) conclusion of the DIGIT_People and algorithms project funded by NAWA – Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej 🎉
🔹 Elsa DESSAIGNE and Piotr Gaczek opened the discussion on an ethical note, raising the thought-provoking question: “Are AI True Agents?” and exploring its implications for decision-makers.
🔹 Sahbi Bahroun and Amira Mouakher demonstrated how AI is applied in practice, using the example of agricultural products.
🔹 Ivan Jajic focused on investments, regulation, and business value creation in the AI context.
🔹Grzegorz Leszczyński, Maciej Ławrynowicz, and Anna Rogala summarized the main outcomes of the DIGIT project.
✨ The day concluded with a mind-opening keynote by Prof. Marek Kowalkiewicz, who introduced us to the perspective of the algorithmic customer.
Day 2 continued with valuable contributions from our business experts:
💡 Marta Durmowicz discussed the changing role and value of marketing agencies in the age of AI.
🔐 Wojciech Patelka shared insights on data security and organizational resilience.
On 25–27 June, we continued during a workshop for project leaders held outside Poznań 🌿Alongside intensive work on papers and brainstorming future research initiatives, we also reflected on the project journey and… we are truly amazed ✨
The outcomes are impressive, but what stands out more are the people behind them ❤️ This project brought together an extraordinary combination of personalities, competencies, curiosity, openness, and a great sense of humor. 😍 It has been a pleasure to work together. Thank you for your hard work and positive energy. 🙏
