1. Most breakthrough moment in career?
Starting work at the European Parliament (2009), where, as an advisor to an MEP for 10 years, I actively participated in the creation of European law, primarily in the areas of labor mobility and road transport. Starting my own business in Brussels (2019) as an independent European consultant and advisor. Since 2019, as MP-Public Affairs, I have been supporting my clients in their relations with European institutions to effectively influence the creation of regulations in the EU. www.mp-publicaffairs.eu
2. Biggest professional success?
Being an appreciated expert in cooperation with EU institutions and lobbying, valued not only for professionalism but also for my approach to the people I work with.
3. If you could go back to the starting point, but with all the knowledge and experience gained, what would you do differently?
Nothing. I believe that every stage of a professional career builds and strengthens us. That’s why it’s worth trying and not being afraid of challenges or changes.
4. Recipe for success. How to achieve it? What to focus on? What to avoid? What advice? What competencies gained from studies at PUEB proved most important?
Consistency, passion, and openness to relationships with people. You have to prepare for hard work, because there are no shortcuts. But this hard work doesn’t have to be tiring if you do something you enjoy. That’s why it’s worth following your interests and intuition. My professional experience so far has also shown me that if some doors close behind us, it creates space for new opportunities that are worth pursuing. In my work, relationships with people are particularly important. It’s worth investing in relationships based on trust and respect, because it pays off in the future. The world is small, and we never know who we will work with in the future.
5. What advice would you give current students who are at the beginning of their careers?
Open yourselves to the opportunities around you. Don’t be afraid to reach high – even if something doesn’t go your way, you will gain valuable experience for the future. Trust yourselves and your intuition. Work with people who appreciate you and don’t waste energy on toxic professional relationships.
