Culture Day in Poznań – spring edition of the Euraxess-Wielkopolska integration event
On 22 May 2026, the spring edition of the Euraxess-Wielkopolska network’s integration meeting – “One Region, Wide Horizons: Celebrating Culture Day in Poznań” – took place at the Dendrological Garden of the Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS). The event was organised by PULS, in line with the principle that the spring edition is hosted each year by a different academic institution in the region.
The event brought together students, doctoral candidates, international academic staff and their families from five leading academic institutions in Poznań: PULS, the Poznań University of Economics and Business, Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznań University of Technology, and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences. It was officially opened by Prof. Karolina Pawlak (PULS Vice-Rector for International Cooperation), Anna Wawdysz (Deputy Director, City Development and International Cooperation Department, City of Poznań), and Prof. Jean Diatta (leader of PULS-ISA).
The programme included a talent show by the PULS-ISA music band, an aikido demonstration, archery and henna-painting workshops, a photo booth, and international cuisine. The event was made possible thanks to numerous volunteers and partners, including PULS-ISA, the Archery Section of the Foresters’ Club (Dr Marcin Włoch), the Physical Culture Centre, the Shin Dojo Aikido Club (Prof. Rafał Stasik), the AfriGlam group, and the Masakli dance group.
Culture Day is one of the recurring integration events held as part of the Euraxess-Wielkopolska network, supporting the adaptation of international researchers and doctoral candidates in the region.
