Final of the 23rd edition of the Food Knowledge Olympiad

The Department of Quality and Food Safety of PUEB co-organized the central stage of the 23rd edition of the nationwide Food Knowledge Olympiad, taking place on March 28 and April 1, 2022. Ninety-three students from 32 high schools across the country qualified for the final stage. Finalists were selected from among the 899 participants declared on the school stage. The first part of the central stage consisted of solving a test of 75 questions. In the second part, the twelve students who obtained the best results from the test part, answered questions from the three main areas of food knowledge. The winners of the 23rd Food Knowledge Olympiad were selected from the top seven.

 

The Olympiad has been organized for more than 20 years, for the second time with the participation of PUEB under a cooperation agreement with the J.J. Śniadeckich School of Food Industry based in Poznań (ZSPS). The evaluation committee was composed of: dr hab. inż. Wojciech Zmudziński, prof. PUEB, Chairman, dr inż. Zuzanna Szmyt, Vice-Chairman, Director of ZSPS, dr hab. inż. Inga Klimczak, prof. PUEB, dr inż. Dorota Klensporf-Pawlik, mgr inż. Monika Naruszko and mgr inż. Urszula Machaj. The Olympiad was supervised by mgr inż. Małgorzata Balcerek and dr Hanna Litkowska.
