The final of the "Finansomania'', the National Olympiad of Knowledge about Finance

On April 8, 2022, the final central stage of the “Finansomania,” the National Olympiad of Knowledge about Finance was held, which was organized for the first time by the Poznań University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the National Bank of Poland.

 

Based on the results of the written test, 10 winners were selected, who then competed in the oral stage for the honorable places on the podium. The responses were evaluated by an 11-member Competition Commission, chaired by dr hab. Kamilla Marchewka-Bartkowiak, prof. PUEB. The results were announced at the Final Gala, which was honored with the presence of prof. dr hab. Maciej Żukowski, PUEB Rector, as well as dr hab. Paweł Marszałek, prof. PUEB, who gave an interesting lecture on the future of money.

 

The first place and valuable prizes were won by Mariusz Kossakowski from the II Princess Anna Jabłonowska of Sapieha High School in Białystok. The 2nd and the 3rd places were won (respectively) byMaciej Karwik from Stefan Żeromski High School No. 5 in Gdańsk and Jakub Izdebski from Adam Mickiewicz High School No. 1 in Olsztyn.

 

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists. They were selected from more than 1,000 students who entered the school stage nationwide. All finalists will receive privileges in university admissions.
