UEP researchers discuss work–life balance at MNiSW symposium
On 7 September, representatives of the UEP Well-being Team—Dr Joanna Furmańczyk, Professor at Poznań University of Economics and Business (UEP), Dr Anna Bernaciak and Dr Joanna Schmidt—took part in the ninth research and practice symposium organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) as part of the “Ministerial Forum for Academic Debate”. The symposium focused on work–life balance in academia.
Participants discussed working and studying conditions, shared experiences and put forward proposals for change. UEP’s researchers delivered a presentation entitled “Work–life balance in academia: from individual well-being to organisational responsibility”. They discussed the Team’s work to date, including successive editions of its study on occupational burnout and the Well-being Days it organises. They also highlighted organisational factors and the everyday culture of academic life.
UEP’s third Well-being Days will take place on 26–27 November 2026. More information will be available soon on the UEP Well-being Zone website.
