Institute of International Business and Economics
The Institute of International Economics is made up of seven Departments with a total of 71 researchers, including 8 full professors and 24 habilitated doctors. We are the largest team at the Poznań University of Economics, bringing together scholars whose common ground for scientific inquiry is the global economy.

The research, educational and expert activities of the Institute include, among others, the following areas:
- Public policies and economic integration, in particular the mechanisms of the functioning of the European Union and the use of EU funds
- International competitiveness of economies and regions and its microeconomic and institutional antecedents
- International trade and cross-border services, with particular emphasis on the tourism sector
- Sustainable development in the context of enterprises, value chains, trade and public policies
- Transformation of global value chains, including the phenomena of reshoring, nearshoring and friendshoring
- Internationalization strategies of enterprises and their economic outcomes in various market and institutional conditions
- Digitalization of business processes and the impact of new technologies on strategies, business models and consumer behaviour
- Logistics and supply chain management, including financial, location and technological aspects
- Financial management of international enterprises
- International financial markets, instruments and behavior of market participants
- Inter-organizational relations and cooperation in international business networks
- International human resources management, leadership and competence development in international enterprises
- Intercultural communication and management and cultural differences in functioning of companies and consumers
- Development of entrepreneurship in various social groups, including women, migrants and family businesses.
