The Human–Digital Nexus Research Center (HUDNex) is a research center for human–technology interactions in organizations. We focus on determining when and why social, psychological, or technological interventions change managerial behavior and ethical decision-making in human–AI collaborations.
Resaerch focus
We recognize that digital transformation is a behavioral, organizational, and ethical challenge. We combine management and organizational research with emerging AI studies to provide evidence that is both theoretical and practical, relevant to decision-makers.
We primarily use experimental methods to determine when and how interventions—social, psychological, or technological—change managerial behavior, responsibility attribution, and ethical decision-making in human-AI collaborations.
We publish our studies in leading journals, including: Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Ethics, Journal of Industrial Marketing, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Information Sciences, Management Decisions, Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Expert Systems.

Projects
Ongoing
- BRAIN-RELATE – An interactive network based on business agents and resources for the development of relationships and their effects in business networks (NCN OPUS LAP Poland + FWF Austria). The main problem addressed in this project is the mismatch between the theoretical assumption that B2B networks are dynamic, evolving, and complex, and the predominantly cross-sectional self-assessment methods used to study them.
- Bridging the Accountability Gap: From Causality to Ethical Decision-Making in Human-AI Collaboration (NCN OPUS Poland, 2025-2028). This project addresses the Accountability Gap in blended human-AI collaboration, focusing on how responsibility attribution influences ethical decision-making and behavior of professionals.
- Collaboration with Artificial Intelligence: Aversion and Admiration in an Organizational Context (NCN OPUS Poland, 2024-2027). The research question of this project connects human-AI partnerships with algorithm aversion and AI appreciation in an organizational context.
Completed
- People and Algorithms in Organizations: Competencies for Working in a Digital Environment (NAWA Poland, together with 6 universities from Europe, 2024-2026). based on the technological challenges that people working in the marketing sector face becasue of AI, this project aimed at developing set of competences needed to work with AI and an educational program that would address them.
