Information about the NAWA project “PROM – Short-term academic exchange”

 

Activities under the Project NAWA PROM – Short-term Academic Exchange are financed as part of the event funding from the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS) programme.

The project titled “PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange” is implemented under the NAWA WELCOME call for proposals.

The funding granted for the activities planned within the project amounts to PLN 993,000.00.

The project is carried out from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.

The project includes activities aimed at students and doctoral candidates, focusing on the development of their academic, research, and professional competencies in an international environment. A special role will be played by summer schools and International Staff Week organized at Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB), involving both PUEB students and doctoral candidates, as well as their international peers and Polish and foreign researchers.

The program of these schools will include intensive courses and workshops conducted by PUEB experts and invited lecturers from partner universities, focusing on current economic and managerial challenges, research methodology, and practical skills related to the labor market.

For PUEB academic staff, the project offers the opportunity to participate in international conferences and workshops, addressing one of the most frequently reported needs identified in internal surveys.

The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the PROM Programme (2025).

Source of funding:

PROM Programme – Short-Term Academic Exchange Programme is financed by the European Union under the project titled “Short-term academic exchange as a way to improve the quality of education in higher education and research institutions”, project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0218/23 (https://nawa.gov.pl/en/nawa/projekty-fers).

Student Exchange under the Project involves short-term mobility of students from Poznań University of Economics and Business and students from foreign partner universities, carried out through two complementary forms of activity:

  1. Intensive hybrid-format classes (COIL – Collaborative Online International Learning), and
  2. Study visits for students of selected degree programmes.

The aim of both types of mobility is to develop students’ academic, language, intercultural, and social competences, as well as to support the internationalisation of the teaching process at both programme and institutional levels.

Number of places for outgoing participants: 60
Number of places for incoming participants: 30

PhD Student Exchange involves short-term mobility in two main formats:

  1. Incoming mobility of PhD students from foreign partner universities, who will participate in a summer research school on innovation management organized by Poznań University of Economics and Business;
  2. Outgoing mobility of PUEB PhD students, including participation in selected academic conferences, international summer schools, as well as individual library queries and archival research.

Staff Exchange – This activity includes two complementary types of short-term academic staff mobility:

  1. Outgoing mobility of academic staff from Poznań University of Economics and Business, who will participate in international scientific conferences, research workshops, and other activities supporting academic development;
  2. Incoming mobility of staff from foreign partner universities, who will take part in the International Staff Week organized at PUEB – an event dedicated to the exchange of best practices, strengthening institutional cooperation, and developing teaching and managerial competencies in an international context.

    1. a) a document confirming knowledge of English at a minimum level of B2, e.g., a certificate or attestation,
    2. b) a scan of their passport or other travel document,
    3. c) a visa/residence card (applies to persons from outside the EU),
    4. d) other documents required by Polish law.

    During the recruitment process, applicants will be asked to provide the following documents:

    The application of a person applying for travel and funding under the Project must include the following documents:

    1)     the application form, constituting Appendix 2 to these Regulations, containing the consent to participate in mobility from the Director of Doctoral School, and in the case of a PhD student of a foreign university, the head of the organizational unit where the student is studying,

    2)     CV,

    3)    cover letter,

    4)    ex-ante questionnaire, constituting Appendix 3 to these Regulations,

    5)    declaration of readiness to accept the Project Participant for a mobility stay, specifying the period of stay and signed by a person authorized to represent the host institution,

    6)     In the case of participation in an international scientific conference as a speaker, panelist, or session chair:
    a) an abstract accepted by the conference organizers, or
    b) a poster (if applicable), or
    c) other documents confirming acceptance of the presentation (e.g., an official confirmation from the organizers or the conference program including the Participant’s name),

    7)     a mobility program signed by the Director of Doctoral School, and in the case of a student of a foreign university, by the head of the organizational unit where the student is studying, specifying the date and place of departure, a description of activities and planned results (learning outcomes),

    8)     a certificate confirming the student’s status in the 2025/2026 academic year issued by the home university,

    9)     persons coming to PUEB from foreign partner universities should additionally attach the following to their application:

    1. a document confirming knowledge of English at a minimum level of B2, e.g., a certificate or attestation,
    2. a scan of their passport or other travel document,
    3. a visa/residence card (applies to persons from outside the EU),
    4. other documents required by Polish law.

    Applications to participate in the Project should be submitted to the International Relations Office by email at dwzz@ue.poznan.pl no later than 10 days before the planned date of mobility.

    Activities under the NAWA PROM Project – Short-term Academic Exchange are financed as part of the event funding from the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS) programme.

  • Call 1 closed - Task 2: Student Exchange

    We are pleased to announce that registration for the project “NAWA PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange” under Task 2 – Implementation of Student Exchange is officially open.
    Candidates who wish to participate in the project can register between 10 December 2025 and 10 January 2026.

    1. Application form, attached as Annex No. 2 to these Regulations, including consent for participation in the mobility signed by the relevant Director of Studies, and in the case of a student from a foreign university, by the head of the organizational unit where the student is enrolled.
    2. CV.
    3. Motivation letter.
    4. Ex-ante questionnaire, attached as Annex No. 3 to these Regulations.
    5. Declaration of readiness to host the Project Participant, specifying the period of stay and signed by a person authorized to represent the hosting institution.
    6. Mobility program, signed by the relevant Director of Studies, and in the case of a student from a foreign university, by the head of the organizational unit where the student is enrolled, including the date and place of the visit, description of activities, and expected outcomes (learning results).
    7. Certificate confirming student status for the academic year 2025/2026 issued by the home university.
    8. Document confirming English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level, e.g., certificate or official statement.
    9. For participants coming to Poznań University of Economics and Business (UEP) from foreign partner universities, additionally:
    1. Scan of passport or other travel document,
    2. Visa/residence card (for non-EU citizens),
    3. Other documents required by Polish law.

    Applications to participate in the Project should be submitted to the International Relations Office by email at dwzz@ue.poznan.pl no later than 10 days before the planned date of mobility.
