Czech University of Life Sciences Prague
Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is a public university established in 1952, Prague. The university itself is considered to be the top institution focused on agricultural and environmental issues operating in the Czech Republic. As far as sustainability CZU ranked 31st in the Green Metric World University Rankings, and is thus one of the world leaders in terms of consideration for the environment. Green technologies are promoted and developed, students are motivated to take part in sustainable activities – Free shop was opened, LED bulbs are installed in pedestrian zones, returnable coffee cups were introduced. Packaging-free sale of cosmetics and cleaning products is introduced in official CZU shop. CZU has 1 Fair-Trade certified faculty and one in the process of certification.
Sveučilište u Zagrebu
Sveučilište u Zagrebu is the flagship educational institution in the country where more than 7,500 employees and 70,000 students, which is half the number of students at all public universities in Croatia, develop knowledge and acquire skills. Doctoral students of the UNIZG constitute about 70% of all doctoral students in Croatia. As far as sustainability the Faculty of Economics & Business (FEB), University of Zagreb has a high reputation in educating experts in the areas of economics and business which also include the sustainability issues!
University of Szeged
University of Szeged is one of the largest, top universities in Hungary. Its institutional and intellectual history goes back to 1581 when the Academia was found in Cluj, contemporary Romania. Due to the political circumstances after the first WW, the University found a new home in Szeged in 1921. The University of Szeged has a unique achievement in the European Union because it is the only university which was able to get into the 500, recently into the 600 universities of Academic Ranking of World Universities from an EU NUTS 2 region with the GDP per head (in PPP) below the 50% of EU28 average.
As far as sustainability the university is trying to find ways to reply to three global trends: decreasing and ageing population, climate change, technological changes (often labelled as 4th industrial revolution); in close corporation with European Partners.
SPU Nitra
SPU Nitra – Zelená univerzita in Nitra is the only agricultural university in Slovakia with an exclusive position within the Slovak universities and nation-wide field of activity. Its mission is to provide and ensure education, research, and guidance so that the knowledge necessary for the development of agriculture. In addition, there is a Fakulta ekonomiky a manažmentu SPU v Nitre which focuses on economics, management, accounting, marketing, quantitative methods, or international trade in Slovak or English languages!

UMH Universidad Miguel Hernández
UMH Universidad Miguel Hernández is a public and modern university offering the highest quality education and research and is committed to finding solutions to the problems affecting society. As far as #sustainability as an institution it has a clear commitment towards sustainability. There is a specific initiative UMH Sostenible https://www.umhsostenible.com/ which activities cover all University fields and activities. With such purpose, UMH Sostenible organises educational training, promotes research activities and sets environmental management protocols. In 2017, UMH was ranked the 10th Spanish University on the GreenMetric Ranking of World Universities 2017, it ranked in the 124th position over the 619 Universities evaluated worldwide.
Poznań University of Economics and Business
Poznań University of Economics and Business (PUEB) is the biggest and oldest business university in the region of Wielkopolska. It was established in 1926 and belongs to the forefront of Polish economic universities, and owes its reputation to high-quality education and the position of one of the leaders in scientific research in the field of economic sciences. The strength of the University is its scientific potential, education conditions and focus on cooperation with business. Didactic offer of the University of Economics in Poznań takes into account global patterns of managerial education and the latest solutions in the field of economic and business development. As one of the oldest universities of this profile in Poland, it specializes in educating business leaders, highly qualified managerial staff, economic experts and employees of government and local administration services. The wide range of studies includes 18 fields of study and over 50 specializations. The teaching programs implemented by the University are characterized by in-depth practical orientation, as for over 10 years the University has been cooperating with the most prestigious companies from all over Poland as part of the PUE Partner Club. The university is an important center of applied research, expertise, analysis and consultation for the business area, government and local government units. Scientific research as well as expert and advisory projects carried out by PUE cover all areas of economics and business practice.
As far as sustainability, the Poznań University of Economics and Business is well experienced in the field of Erasmus+ projects concerning teaching competences. Some of the projects that UEP has undertaken are strategic games usage for teaching purposes and movie learning were implemented in the past. In 2019 PUEB started to implement the project, financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, which is devoted to sustainability: Central European Network for Sustainable and Innovative Economy (CENETSIE). The main objective of that project is to build a network of researchers interested in above mentioned topics and mobilities are main activities. The key persons involved in the project will be: Aleksandra Gaweł, Bartłomiej Pierański and Barbara Borusiak.
Additionally, Poznań University of Economics and Business is the coordinator of SUSTA+ project and will be responsible for the implementation of the whole range of activities (intellectual output, transnational meetings, multiplier events, dissemination, training mobility and management). The distribution of tasks and responsibilities will be based on the distribution of intellectual outputs and events planned in the project
